I am excited for the opportunity to provide your school with Fine Art School Portraits again this year!
My philosophy is simple — I take a modern approach to school photos; no more forced smiles with strange or fake looking backgrounds. The background will be natural or neutral and the photos will be simple and classic. Instead of a “smile and say cheese” approach, I will encourage the children to be themselves. My intention is to capture your child’s unique personality.
Picture Day will be Saturday October 17th in the morning on the Orchard Community Church campus.
HOW WILL PICTURE DAY WORK?
A time slot sign up sheet will be released in early October. This will be an online signup with 5 minute intervals. Each child will have a 5 minute time slot which will leave plenty of time for multiple poses as well as entering and leaving with proper social distancing from other families. (When you pre-register, you are automatically notified when sign-up is available and also later when the gallery is ready for viewing and ordering.)
HOW WILL I ORDER?
Within two weeks of your child’s photo day, you will be e-mailed the link to a private proofing gallery. There will be 4 or more images of each child in an album alphabetical by last name within the main Gallery (each image will be provided in both color and black and white). I do not choose which photos to print, you do. You will be able to order prints — in packages or a la carte — canvas wraps, digital files, and many other photo products directly from the Gallery. The ordering process is simple and secure.
The gallery will be live for SEVEN days. ALL ORDERS MUST BE PLACED IN THAT TIME PERIOD.
Once orders have been placed, your photos and products will be delivered to your school within two weeks and handed out to you by school staff. FYI — we have gorgeous holiday ornaments again this year, as well as some new products you can look forward to — they make great gifts!
WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR?
Please avoid graphics or neon clothing. Solid colors are best, and the images will be head and shoulders for the most part, though I will try to include at least one full body portrait. Please contact me if you have any questions: info@lorephotography.com
SIBLING PORTRAITS
Siblings—even those who do not attend Sonshine Preschool—can be photographed both individually and together on picture day this year. Please sign up for back-to-back slots (email me if that is not available when you sign up). The Gallery will have an album for each individual child as well as one for the siblings together.
CLASS PHOTOS
There will be no class photos this year due to Covid 19.
