Family Documentary Photo Sessions capture more than just your faces or a staged hug in front of a tree— the whole idea is to thoughtfully and artfully convey your daily life and the intimate relationships you share in a photojournalistic way. I am all about capturing your beautiful faces and moving bodies, being just exactly who you are—right now, in this moment. Bare feet, crooked headband, milk mustache—bring it on! No posing or hair gel required.

Family photography sessions that are actually fun.
Having your family’s photos done can feel a bit like you’ve just been to Disneyland… fun, yeah — BUT hectic and stressful, exhausting, mind-blowingly more difficult that anyone could have thought possible!
I know. I’ve been there.
After our first family portrait session with all three kids (our little guy had just turned one) I realized I loved the images that were not posed way more than the posed ones. There’s one of my son trying to get up off the wagon and the other two holding him back, scrunching their little faces up with the strength of their desire to keep him from bolting — so funny, and just so true-to-life! He’s a bolt-er, always has been! So that image is perfectly them, and that moment perfectly remembered. I really don’t notice whether their hair looks perfect or what they are wearing. I love the “that’s so THEM” feeling more than anything else.
